BLS (Basic Life Support) Training Session

On August 29, 2026, we held a resuscitation training session at the clinic for our general staff.

Under the guidance of an instructor, they learned Basic Life Support (BLS) for sudden cardiac arrest and choking.

About the BLS Course

The BLS course is a Basic Life Support training course for healthcare professionals, based on the guidelines of the Japan Resuscitation Council (JRC).

BLS refers to the life-saving measures that anyone present can begin straight away, without special medical equipment.

Participants learn a single connected sequence: checking responsiveness and breathing, calling for help and equipment, chest compressions and rescue breathing, and responding to choking.

The shorter the time since cardiac arrest, the higher the chance of saving a life, so it matters that whoever finds the person first can act without hesitating.

We held this session for our general staff so that everyone shares the same procedure – reception and concierge staff included, not only medical personnel.

What the Session Covered

Participants used training manikins to practise chest compressions and ventilation with a bag-valve mask.

An instructor guided them directly through each step: the position and depth of the compressions, the tempo, switching over to avoid fatigue, and securing the airway.

The session was held inside the clinic where we normally receive patients, so the procedures were rehearsed in the same rooms, along the same routes, as a real emergency.

Part of How We Operate Safely

We treat building an emergency-response system as one of our safety measures, so that you can receive treatment with peace of mind.

Written procedures are not enough on their own; we believe they only work when staff have physically rehearsed them.

We will continue to hold resuscitation training for our staff on a regular basis.
